From a reflective christmas...

F**k fees and cuts.

European students are very angry.

These months, students from countries as Italy, Uk and France have loads to say about the financial reforms that their governments have dictated, thanks to the economical crisis.

Extremely highs fees and cuts will affect the future of millions of students, tutors and researcher, but frankly those people did not shout their mouth and in those days the streets of capitals like London and Rome were theatre of intense riots.

On the 9th of December I had the pleasure to be part of one of the most important demonstration in the Uk, exactly in London. I was very impressed and delighted to be part of this historic day, people of very different ages were protesting united against this ridicule reform.

Postcards from Autumn

Freeze and snow arrive in our lands, the autumn's yellowish colours leave.

Few days at home. Sicily.

At the end of October I spent a couple of days at home in Sicily.

These photos are taken in Trapani, the city where I was born; even though I've been taking photos of this small town since I was very young, I loose myself on exploring new streets and situations.

Churches, ports, old buildings...represent often the landscape of this antique city.

Street Photography

Hi all,

As you might know already, the London's Photographer's Gallery is closed for refurbishment...
However, the gallery and Street Photography now by Thames & Hudson have started the Street Photography Now PROJECT.

Every week from 1 Oct 2010 leading contemporary street photographers will issue a new instruction, written to inspire fresh ways of looking at and documenting the world we live in.

The first instruction was given by Bruce Gilden.

If you can smell the street by looking at the photo, it's a street photograph.

Prays

I want to say that i was totally amazed by those guys...

As i was passing trough the roads of Dalston(east London), I heard their voices, I got off from the bus and I went closer to them.

Then a long discussion about god, faith, christianity began...they are part of The Potter's House Church community, as they call themselves "a group of Christian believers, who have experienced a powerful change in our lives by the power of the cross".

The Market's face

I've always been fascinated by markets, places where different people, colours, fragrances, cultures meet all together to create one incredible scenario, full of energy and diversity.

These photos are shot at Dalston market, east London.

It might be my new project.

Lago Specchio di Venere

Also these photos are part of my holidays.

Pantelleria is magic, I would say unique. It looks like a piece of land emerged from the blue mediterranean sea, without nation or flag.

These photos show the most beautiful place of the island, lake of Specchio di Venere.

The photos are shot in Pantelleria, an island between Europe and North Africa.
